The breakfast: It is served with many different bread, with ham and cheese. You can have tea or coffee.
 
The lunch: Usually people eat in one of the many eetcoffee or snacks. The lunch is consist of 2 or 3 broodje (dutch sandwish), possibly a hot plate or a salad mix, a koffietafelDutch don't drink alcohol  at midday, only coffee and milk. 


The diner: It's the main meal of the day, and it happen between 6 and 8 pm. Usually it consists of soup, meat or fish with potatoes or green vegetables, and dessert.
 
Drink: for Dutch, alcohol is taken in the evening.

The specialities

Maatjessla:  Salad Matjes (herring) with potatoes and onions.

Snert:  Pea soup.

Uistmijter:  Slice of buttered bread topped with lettuce, gouda, ham, a boiled egg and onion rings.
Spekpannekoek:  Crêpes épaisses au lard.
